Use this November's election to teach your students about American democracy! Learn how to incorporate the Kids Voting USA program into your classroom activities by attending one of two upcoming teacher workshops.

Kids Voting Metro Louisville will host two Kids Voting Teacher Workshops this spring to support area teachers as you encourage civic literacy and voter education in your own classrooms.

Please join us at the Gheens Professional Development Academy (next to Male High School) on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 from 4:30 to 6:30 if you are an elementary teacher and on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 3:15 to 5:15 if you teach middle or high school students. Teachers attending these seminars will be eligible for two hours of continuing education credit.

Jefferson County Public School teachers should use JCPS's online registration procedure to register for the workshops.

Teachers at Archdiocese of Louisville schools should register by contacting Karen O'Connell at koconnell@archlou.org or by calling 448-8581.

Any other teachers interested in attending these workshops should send an email to info@kidsvotinglouisville.org or call Kids Voting at (502) 625-0100 and choose extension 34 at the prompt.
